The spring fair at the Archbishop’s Seminary has been an annual staple on school’s calendar for many years. It is a varied and fun event which aims at providing an enjoyable atmosphere for all the family. This year, for the first time since the inception of our nursery at the school, the family fest is going green! Join us on the 24th April from 09:00 – 17:00!

La Salle vs HMS

Following some positive performances in the MHA cup, HMS once again faced La Salle, this time in the league. Unfortunately it wasn't going to be an easy game with several players injured and unavailable to play HMS were short of players having one of the keepers play as left wing.

HMS vs Luxol

The final game of the MHA Cup against Luxol showed the other side of HMS ending with a negative note. From the beginning of the game the HMS players found it difficult to find the net seeing Luxol increasing the margin during 1st half. Second showed a slight improvement however it wasn't easier for our players and continued to suffer from the opponents attack.

Swieqi Phoenix G.M. vs HMS

Last Saturday's match was once again another challenging one. However, HMS managed to keep a close score regardless of having injured players and lack of substitutes. Numerous goals coming from left back Nicholas Fava and right winger Stefan Meli kept the gap close, ending the half with a deficit of 6 goals.

HMS vs Aloysians

The game against Aloysians was once again a very close one. HMS gave their utmost and together with their team spirit, they scored the first goal keeping a minimal advantage of 2 goals throughout most of the first half. However, in the final 5 minutes of the half Aloysians gained the upper hand and ended with a goal advantage.

Kavallieri vs HMS

In their second game of the season, HMS faced another tough team, that of Kavallieri. Although Kavallieri are a stronger team on paper, HMS started on the same footing pairing every goal they conceded. However during the last 5 minutes of the first half fatigue played its part and Kavallieri gained an advantage of 5 goals.

Season-Opening Lunch

As is now tradition at HMS, on Saturday 26th September, the team gathered at St. Julian’s for the annual season-opening lunch. This year’s team building event held special significance for the club as it marked the first season of collaboration with its new main sponsor: Parthenope La Bufala Restaurant. In fact, the 2015 edition was held at Parthenope and served to welcome Manuel Marra and the rest of the team to our growing family!

Awards Night BBQ

On the back of a fantastic and handball-packed week in Sweden at the Partille Cup, the boys could have easily been forgiven for laying low for a while and taking some time to recuperate. However, this could not have been further away from the truth. Still buzzing from their experience in Gothenburg, the players poured all their energy into one big final event for the season: the Awards Night BBQ!

Partille Cup 2015

Partille Cup is a world renowned handball tournament which is held on a yearly basis in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 2015, the tournament saw over 1000 teams from over 40 countries participating, making it the largest youth handball tournament in the world. HMS embarked on an adventure at this prestigious event with 2 teams, one in the U-21 and another in the U-18 categories.
